Depois de ter deixado muita gente desesperada, o Tinypic publicou uma nova mensagem hoje (24/09/2010), pedindo desculpas pelo transtorno causado ontem, dia 23 de Setembro:
We heard from many of our users in regards to these changes and we appreciate your feedback. Tinypic has restored linking to your images and enabled uploading. Please rest assured no content was removed from the site. We tried to notify users on Tinypic and requested they move their content to Photobucket. Unfortunately this messaging was insufficient and has taken many of our users by surprise and we apologize. Our intent was to begin combining some of the best features of Tinypic and Photobucket, thereby offering users a better experience. Any changes in the future will be better communicated. Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience.
Eles informaram que nenhum conteúdo foi excluído do site, ou seja, todas as imagens hospedadas no Tinypic estão funcionando novamente. Inclusive, informaram que da próxima vez em que pensarem em fazer algo do tipo, vão comunicar os usuários com antecedencia.
Embora muitos usuários estejam de fato traumatizados com o transtorno de ontem (23/09/2010), acredito que o Tinypic vai continuar funcionando internacionalmente por um bom tempo.
As imagens do Fabricando Dinheiro continuarão sendo hospedadas no Tinypic, porém vamos hospedar também no ImageShack, como forma de backup. Se o problema voltar a acontecer, estaremos preparados.
